Burl modeled his winery, Villa Catalana after an old Spanish Monastery in Catalonia. Before that, he created Rare Plants Research, a mail-order nursery for unique plants from around the world. He also has very practical insights for people thinking about finding and following their passion. I loved our conversation, I hope you will too. Also, you can buy Burl’s book about the creation of Villa Catalana at his winery on Saturdays from 1-4 pm. Just call ahead to make sure they are open, and schedule your visit.

Burl actually made his own book chronicling the creation of Villa Catalana, with lots of pictures. You can buy it Saturdays at the winery from 1-4 pm.
